CONFERENCES & SPECIAL PROGRAMS

The Annual Employee Benefits Summit & Trade Show in May is the year's "must go to" event, attracting several hundred benefits professionals from New England to learn the latest benefits news from nationally-recognized speakers, with a trade show featuring the region's most dynamic vendors. 

The Best Practices Conference in December honors New England's "Best Benefits Practices" and has been a perennial favorite for nearly two decades.  The conference features dynamic keynote speakers, and the Best Practices Award Winners present their innovative and creative benefit programs.

Washington Update occurs in September and features expert briefings by senior government and industry representatives from Washington, D.C. on health care reform, retirement issues, legislative initiatives, and policies which are crucial for all who work in the employee benefits field.

Health Insurance Market Outlook in February is an annual examination of the Massachusetts health insurance marketplace.  The "meet the press" format provides a lively exchange of ideas, information and perspectives, with all the major health insurance carriers participating.

PROGRAM SERIES

Basics Boot Camp offers a full-day program in April dedicated to Employee Health & Welfare Plans, and a full-day program in November features retirement.

Benefits Lunch & Learns, held approximately every 6 weeks, provide a forum to discuss "hot topics and breaking news" on employee benefit-related issues, as well as technical subjects for more limited audiences.

Global Benefits Forums are offered several times a year in an informal seminar format, designed for benefits professionals who have international employees.

Solutions Workshops are designed for benefit plan administrators and other professionals on the technical aspects of administration and compliance for COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant topics.

Next Generation, a series designed for emerging professionals, meets several times a year with a focus on topics relevant to those who are new to the benefits profession.  A social hour follows the program.

Strategic Retirement Solutions are half-day programs for experienced benefit professionals seeking an in-depth knowledge of financial and retirement planning topics including legislation, compliance, administration and design.

Well-being & Engagement Programs are half-day and provide the latest research, practical advice and best practices from experts in the field.  Key drivers of these programs include employee and employer interests, incentives, technology, and communication and engagement strategies designed to improve employee health and the company's bottom line.

WorldatWork courses are hosted by NEEBC several times a year on a variety of topics. Please check the event calendar for specifics.

NETWORKING & SOCIAL EVENTS

Women in Benefits Networking Luncheons provide an opportunity to celebrate women who have mastered their industry and are admired and respected by their business community.  Enjoy lunch with female professionals in downtown Boston and learn strategies that will help empower and advance women in the workplace.

Networking Nights are co-sponsored with the Worksite Wellness Council of MA (WWCMA) for an evening of conversation, cocktails and networking, often at unique venues.

Other popular social events such as the Golf Outing and Evening at the Pops are offered bi-annually.

WEBINARS

NEEBC offers a variety of timely webinars, some of which are co-sponsored by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP).
