CDM Smith has received two prestigious wellness awards (local and national).  This past fall, they were named a Silver Workwell Award winner by the Worksite Wellness Council of MA.  More recently, they were named as a winner of the national Best and the Brightest in Wellness award by The National Association for Business Resources.  Both recognized CDM Smith’s unique and successful charity incentive: providing $50,000 per quarter to charitable organizations based on points earned by wellness program participants who vote for charities of their choice.   

For the second year in a row, PLANADVISER has named Marsh & McLennan Agency to its list of Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers as a mega team (defined as 36 or more team members).  MMA Retirement Services has $12 billion or more in assets under advisement (AUA) in retirement plans and over 1,000 retirement plans under advisement.

Aetna has launched a new company logo 

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care recently sponsored three Forbes thought leadership articles that focused on timely trends in health care/health benefits (personalized medicine/genetic testing, digital health, and emotional wellbeing in the workplace).  In the articles, Harvard Pilgrim added their voice to the conversation and discussed some of the ways they are addressing these needs, including: an innovative contract that expanded access to prenatal genetic testing for members U35; their DoD partnership for behavioral health visits; and their unique approach to benefit design driven by utilization trends of the younger generations (Millennial product), their mindfulness programs, and Harvard Pilgrim’s Parent Portal partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital. To read the the three Forbes articles, click here

Progyny’s CEO, David Schlanger, was recently interviewed in the New York Times and CNBC about the rise in fertility benefit coverage. As infertility rates increase, Progyny is working with industry leaders to expand access with a solution that focuses on the member experience and the latest and best practices in science.

Torchlight's founder and CEO, Adam Goldberg, M.Ed, recently wrote a byline for HR Daily Advisor which outlines some of the analysis in the company's November 2018 report "Modern Caregiving Challenges Facing U.S. Employees." The byline is called "Study Reveals Top Employee Caregiving Challenges Employers Need to Understand."

Wellness Workdays has partnered with five professional and collegiate sports teams, including the Boston Celtics, the Washington Redskins, the Utah Jazz, the University of Notre Dame and Duke University to provide an unparalleled opportunity for students in the Wellness Workdays Dietetic Internship (WWDI) program. For students interested in studying sports nutrition, working with the WWDI and these renowned sports teams is an opportunity to gain real-world experience in the extremely competitive field of sports nutrition. Founded by Wellness Workdays’ CEO Debra Wein, the WWDI trains nutrition graduates who want to become registered dietitians (RDs). It is one of the largest and most innovative dietetic internships in the country and accepts 95 interns annually.

CDM Smith was recognized in a video message by Steven Tyler

 

for their contribution to Janie’s Fund for abused and neglected women, with Steven thanking long term NEEBC member Susan Glover and CDM Smith CEO Tim Wall by name. The video was shared thousands of times on social media.  In it, Steven renamed CDM Smith “CDM Aerosmith”!  

Cigna New England President Mark Butler recently visited Boston Bridge Public Charter School in Roxbury, Mass., to help kickoff Cigna's three-year investment of Blessings in a Backpack’s weekend feeding program. Students at the school will receive backpacks filled with nutritious food each Friday so they don’t go hungry over the weekend. This is the latest of Cigna's support of Blessings in a Backpack. The company also sponsors similar programs at schools in communities across the country. It’s all part of Cigna's mission to help improve health, well-being and peace of mind, and to help build healthy communities. Blessings in a Backpack is a national nonprofit organization that mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry.
